# Spotlight on the power of business in disaster management: 10 stories, 20 <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> Member Networks, 1.5 million businesses, and a presence in 67 countries

The <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> Annual Report 2024-2025 offers 10 stories to showcase the importance and potential of working hand-in-hand with the private sector in disaster management. These vignettes reflect the work of 20 <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> Member Networks in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery over the course of 18 months during which <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> and its partners responded to 54 crises, reached 9.9 million people, and mobilized USD29 million through in-kind and financial resources.

That’s exactly what <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> is working towards: co-creating a future where partnership with the private sector and investing in resilience are the norm, not the exception,” added Marcos Neto, UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Associate Administrator and Director of the UNDP Bureau of Policy and Programme Support.

In the lead up to its 10th anniversary, <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> is poised to continue growing as a community and to catalyze systemic change.
