# <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> Annual Report 2022

**The Connecting Business initiative (<span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span>) Annual Report** provides an overview of our activities in private sector disaster preparedness, response and recovery in 2022, plus a look back at the past five years of <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> projects and programmes.

<span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span>’s 14 Member Networks represent over 8,300 members that together represent more than **789,000 individual businesses** in a wide range of industries.

In 2022, <span class="cbi-brand-name">CBI</span> Member Networks responded to **32 crises**, including tropical storms, earthquakes, and more. Their emergency preparedness, response and recovery initiatives reached almost **5.5 million people**, and over **US$ 7 million** was mobilized through in-kind and financial contributions from the private sector.
